The training program has 2 categories:

  • SITP/1 for science graduates – Trainees are grouped into Engineering, Geosciences and Information Technology specializations
  • SITP/2 for school leavers with a technical background – There are three areas of specialization; Instrumentation Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology with Production Operations common to all of them. At the end of the training, beneficiaries receive the City and Guilds Technicians Diploma.
